foil-paper

Post by florigami »

Have you ever had any problem that you need foil-paper, well I have :x But i've just found out how you can make your own. what you need. aliminium-foil, copy paper and spray glue.

step one spray your copy paper with glue
step two put one sheet of aliminium foil on it
step three spray your aliminium foil with glue
step four put on another sheet of aliminium foil
step five cut out squares of your foil paper

If you have any idea on how i can make it better please post it here.

hope thet helped.

I usually use just one sheet of foil (though I am using the foil I have, which is normal home foil, not the thinner bulk stuff you can get in big box stores) and have only used tissue paper. And I find, in that case, it is easier to spray the foil and roll the tissue onto it with a dowel or a chopstick or something. I've been planning to try with tracing paper.

But copy paper + 2 sheets of foil seems like it would be quite thick!

If you do not have spray paint you can use a brush to paint on glue to the foil. If using elmer's glue or something similar I would suggest watering it down with water. In either case I would suggest applying the glue to the foil first so the paper doesn't fall apart.

Oh my goodness :-)

I'm new to this board- in fact I've only been a member for 3 minutes- but the question i wanted to ask about foil paper has just been answered!

I joined the BOS at a craft show on Thursday, and i have been paper folding for around 25 years- i started quite young at the age of about 7.
