Google SketchUp: Usability and potential for diagramming ?

Post by gordigami »

Now that SketchUp has been out for awhile, has anyone had diagramming success with it, and how does it compare with Inkscape ?
Can you show results of your graphic ?
Any particularly exceptional new features that might pertain to origami design ?
Overall assessment and illuminations ?
Thanks !
May I wish success to all who cope with the mountains & valleys of Life,
with all its peaks & depths, as well as Origami .

It's designed for 3D Architectural, engineering projects, and the like. not that good for diagramming. I haven't used inkscape, but if it's a 2d application, it would be good.

I use serif draw pro 8. It's cross between inkscape, publisher and photoshop. It's really good. Sketchup? No way.
