Inspirations

Post by origami93 »

Why did everyone get into Origami? The reason I started doing it is because I wanted to make things of anime and stuff. Whoever watches Hellsing, I think it would be cool to have a model of Alucard with his 2 guns.

I like Satoshi's idea of making Bahamut, because it was off of Final Fantasy. I think it would be cool to make models of zombies and different things like that. I also thought it was amazing how somebody could turn a square piece of paper and fold it into a creature. Kamiya's Ancient Dragon is mainly the reason I started doing Origami because I wanted to be able to do that one day.

I received an origami book (Origami 1) for my 9th birthday.
Never looked back since then... :-)

another inspiration is my first origami book, The Complete Book of Origami, by Robert lang. i thought the cuckoo clock in that book was amazing, because if you push the ticker sideways, the bird comes out!

There are a lot of people (including me) that were introduced to origami in preschool or some other similar activity, and have folded ever since... although this sort of exposure is more common in Japan than anywhere else (I lived there when I was three).
