I don't know if I can ask this here and I don't mean to step on anyone's feet by asking this, but it is critically important to me. I just spent $94 on a JOAS membership thinking I would be able to get the Giraffe diagrams. They responded to one of my emails telling me that this was not the case. I have looked everywhere online to see if I could find any place selling a copy of this and of course I could not. So my question to all my fellow folders is if anyone knows of a place that is selling this issue OR would be willing to sell me a copy temselves OR would be willing to lend it to me for which I would pay for the trouble and shipping. I know there is a crease pattern available for the giraffe. I have been trying to fold it for a couple of years now from the crease pattern and I would just like to have a finished copy of this model in fact... if you don't want to sell me the 2006 special edition, you could send me a folded version of this model for which I would be willing to pay for as long as it was folded from the diagrams and looks nice.
Thanks in advance, halogen64

And no, I don't beleive that there is anywhere that you could get diagrams for the giraffe. Keep trying the CP

Where are you?
I have folded this model from the CP. Maybe I could send you the collapsed base.

Actually after getting frustrated, skipping 3 classes, and a lot of diligence, I managed to get it folded for the most part. It still looks kind of ugly and I would still like to purchase the book. I have a goal of being able to fold this and collapsing the crease pattern just doesn't accomplish what I want.
In reference to cupcake, I don't mean this to be rude and I also mean no disrespect. I just want to clarify what I meant in case it was misinterpreted. I wanted to find a location to purchase an actual copy of the material and in no way violate the copyright. The second part of my request was a folded version of the giraffe not the diagrams. If this is still prohibited, I understand and will avoid making posts like this in the future.
Also, I am in the United States and perhaps you could help me with a more "perfected" collapsing of the base esato

Cupcake, have you ever heard of eBay, Craigslist, used bookstores, garage sales, etc.? It is perfectly legal to buy it off someone from this forum. Just not a photocopy/scan/unauthorized copy of it. Skipping three classes--that's dedication. I don't think I've ever skipped three in one day. (Though it's always funny when I realize that I've slept through my second class of the day.) Congratulations!
Bummer about JOAS not letting you have the giraffe with the 2006 membership.

origamimasterjared, I don't think cupcake meant any harm. Yeah about skipping the three classes, I wasn't feeling all too great in the first place. I have sent JOAS an email asking them if it was at all possible, but at this rate, I won't know until next week some time. I sent the money when I did because they wouldn't respond and I didn't want to miss out on the giraffe diagrams. If anybody happens to see/find the book with these diagrams in them and wants to pick it up, I will gladly pay them back. In the meantime, I'm going to try to reverse engineer the giraffe base, so wish me luck.
