I took part in a craft show last weekend, with my own table and everything! This is my first atempt at selling anything that I have made. The feature was several 3D modular orgami that I had made, an some star an bead garlands, and a few flower balls.
I was really nervious. But to my surprise, I sold a bunch of stuff, and got a zillion comments! I am so please thatI did my part to spread Asian culture in this littke backward town I live in.
So, please, anyone else have great success stories to tell about promoting your art for profit?
Let all of us here in Origamiville hear about it.

Cool story, I've been trying to sell my own stuff at craft shows here in Montana for the past three years, but attending only two a year. The last one wasn't so good (I only sold three models over two days, maybe it's the economy). The best one was last year's Christmas show where I sold around 30 models all from simple to mega complex!
Congrats dude!
I've gotten most success selling my models by gallery. I sold two pieces when I had a small show in my town, and the others from seeing my work casually say at my house. My town has an 'artists day' where all the local artists set up tables on the town green (along with the organic farmer's market) and that seems like a more successful venue.... I'll have to sign up.
