What does "Varileg" mean?

I've been seeing the term "varileg" being used by many of the professional origamists that we have come to know and love. I assume that it means that the legs vary in length, but I'm not completely sure.

That's what it means, diferent length.(Thas's what I can say seeing a lot of models with the same description: Lang- scorpion, dragonfly, Brian Chan-scorpion and dragonfly, Satoshi Kamiya dragonfly) I like the idea, but it makes the models very complex (if is not box plated). I prefer shorten the flaps folding to the desired size.

Interestingly enough all the results when googling for "varileg" are Origami-related...

Most people are varileg. Very few have legs of the same length!

I guess that's not too surprising, because I made up the word when I was trying to come up with a name for my scorpion (which, perhaps, might be considered the "type specimen" for this particular origami species?). It's a portmanteau of "varying-length legs". I only intended it as a name for this particular design, and so was a little surprised that it seems to have taken on a life of its own.
