Giant Origami Teddy Bear on eBay

Post by dinogami »

Hi All! - If you go to eBay right now (this date), look on the upper left of the home page: there's what appears to be a gigantic, 3D origami teddy bear made from brown kraft paper in left side view. I have no idea who invented it (or if it's really origami), but it's not like any origami teddy bear I've ever seen...anyone have ideas where it came from? I'm not sure that this image will be there beyond today; for the holiday countdown, eBay seems to be changing graphics daily...

It needs to be eBay.com, and JavaScript needs to be enabled - the date is included in the image URL, so it automatically changes each day. (Tomorrow's pic is some pine cones, and the day after is some Christmas themed Russian dolls.)
You can find out every day's image by changing to the URL.

eBay.co.uk contains a bear, too, but it's a regular teddy bear.

More likely, it's meant to be a teddy bear, wrapped in paper, rather than actually made of paper.

may be you want to start a challenge for creating a 3d origami teddy bear, if you're so impressed?
me too do think the image shown by falcifer just illustrates a wrapped bear.
