Origami Novelty Games

Post by childofsai »

Hi All,

I'd like to know everyone's ideas for origami novelty games -- old and new (new preferably!). It may be something you played at a convention and you really enjoyed it, or it could a brand new fresh idea you think should be done.

Thinking caps on!

Regards,

This is a cool thread.

Every year at the colombian convention there is a game called "chocogami" and i know it is difficult to replicate elsewhere but I am going to describe it and maybe someone can adapt it to their local needs.

The game starts with a chocolate bar given to the players. These specific chocolate bars come wrapped in a foil and include a small "picture" you are supposed to stick on an album (don't know if there is a better word in English for these).

The purpose of the game is to fold whatever is in the picture with the foil that comes with the chocolate bar. I competed once against (among other people) Jeremy Shaffer. He did a great banana. I got a sawmill, it included a river and a guy standing on a large trunk, holding some rod in his hands and aligning more floating trunks. I only did the guy (empty handed).
