Re: What To Fold
Maybe Satoshi's Mammoth, if you're not bugged by the lack of color change
Re: What To Fold
I'm home from college (/university) for a few weeks, but left most of my larger and better paper there. I've finally finished folding gifts for people and want something to fold for fun with what little I have, the bulk of which is:
1 6 inch / 15cm
2 variety of colors, same on both sides
3 kami-ish thickness
4 low-quality paper, just below kami
5 as complex as makes sense with this paper.
I also have some scraps of tissue foil, various colors 3-8 inches (7-20cm) and some 6in/15cm silver foil.

Re: What To Fold
Little more than a foot by a foot.
Chocolate brown.
Double tissue
Complex. Preferably from the 50+ VOG book.
If not, something that has grace and power.
Diagrammed, or simple CP... Some of these can be interchangeable and excluded.

Re: What To Fold
I bought some at a mall in the city.
Place called Papyrus.
The sheets are huge, I think a bit more than 2 x 1.5 feet. Or something.
http://www.papyrusonline.com/gift-wrap/ ... paper.html
(Oh and their white starlight tissue is the only good starlight. Magnificant for Christmas stuff)
(It's good for MC if you flatten it with some form of iron, plus I use a starch spray)
(The metals I tried are not so great, it's really waxy on the metal side)

Approx. 1, 196 miles away from your current location.
If it has the humming bird in its logo, I think that's the store.

Re: What To Fold
JimPurge: what about the eagle from VOG 50?
I did a test fold with some 30cm lokta and it was fine apart from the feet - but you may fair better than me (I gave up on the toes)
You could do the water buffalo, but with double tissue the front legs will be too thin to hold the weight (and you won't get the colour changed horns).

Re: What To Fold

a picture speaks 1000 words.
Size:
The ruler on the right is 45cm, for comparison. For each sheet that is about 80cm, there is two more paper that is about 30cm each. The ones below there is two about 20 cm each.
For the grey paper, there is 3 that about about 3 inches.
Paper type:
Top 3: thai banana and mango unryu (handmade)
Bottom left 2: handmade nepalese lokta
bottom right 1: unknown, about 80 gsm
any suggestions appreciated. the black and red big ones are going to make SK's bahamut and ancient dragon, by the way.

Re: What To Fold
You can glue together (with MC) the red and black papers and make Román Díaz's Singing Cardinal, is a beautiful model.
