Paul Jackson said the way he diagrams (which was the way I started in my tender years) is to make a small model of the, well model, and place it on paper, marking all the important points with pinpricks. Those are connected with pencil and straightedge, and then transferred to tracing paper. The traces are scanned, and photoshop is used for shading and error correction.

would you buy it and if you would what would you pay for it?
The labrador, the standing dragon, the clawed bird and the rose in a vase.

I dunno about the price, maybe around 10-20$ for it, Josh's book had a decent price/number of models.

Thanks and thanks!
The only problem is ive decided that its only an ebook, and that computer diagrams would be easier.

As I posted somewhere else on the forum today, don't use photodiagrams until you've bought a better camera and learned how to use it properly. A photography class will do wonders for this.

As to books on origami tessellations... here's a list, as far as I know. It's a pretty recent genre, not sure why you think it needs a breath of fresh air:

* Twist Origami 1, Shuzo Fujimoto (80s?)
* Twist Origami 2, Shuzo Fujimoto (80s?)
* Twist Origami 3, Shuzo Fujimoto (80s?)
* Origami Tessellations, by Eric Gjerde (2009)
* Shadowfolds, by Chris Palmer (2011)

Eric Gjerde said on flickr a few months ago that he was starting work on a second book; Ilan Gabiri has a nearly-finished manuscript and he's looking for a publisher; Robert Lang's next book is supposed to have a chapter on tessellations. Tomoko Fuse writes a ton of books and she's been folding a lot of tessellations recently, I wouldn't be surprised if she's working on one too. Also I'm about 30% done with my second book, which will be about half tessellations.

If you're gonna write a book on tessellations, make sure you stand up to the competition...

The squares must have outlines.

As soon as you have multiple layers, you will want to clearly define each edge with a line or it will get confusing pretty quick. You might as well start with the square =).
And this is just my opinion and I don't know if other people feel the same way, but I wouldn't extend your arrow lines all the way to the edges. In steps where there are multiple layers, it could be confusing to the eye, making it seem as though there are extra edges that don't exist. But again, I might be the only one who has that problem 8-[ .
Looks good otherwise!

Thanks LeafPiece, but I made the arrows extend to the edges because my test folder (bro) was getting confused as to where to fold what to wherever. So adding those lines made it clearer for him.
