Ok, this was what I was finally working at. Sleipnir, Unicorn and Pegasus final versions, meaning folded to proportion. The colour-changes on the Sleipnir and Pegasus will look like the colour-changes of the Unicorn (I just dont have the paper or patience to prepare the paper for that).

This is my first attempt at folding qtrollip's horse. I used 60 cm x 60 cm (24 in x 24 in) kami.

Obviously, I had some trouble with the mane and the hooves. I think what happened on the mane was that I got the paper too wet. With the hooves, I just wasn't sure what to do. Any advice on those two things?

I will definitely be trying this again, it was very enjoyable to fold. Thanks, qtrollip!

Notefolds, I cant see your picture.

Here's what the horse's hooves should look like. I also made one with colour-changed hooves without sacrificing the length od the leg flaps. My girlfriend says it looks like Pocahontas" horse.

this is my second attempt with quentins horse, folded from 30cm foiled paper. the legs are too small to form the hooves, so I skipped them.

I definitly like all the different variations of the horse. Each one seems to have it's own defining characteristics that make it a bit different from the last!
Do you immitate some features of other models you know as starting points? Or do you come up with most of the modifications yourself? (because I don't think I've seen hooves like that before :o )
Well done on all the horses!

Thank you Drgn, I try do something different with my designs, sometimes with alot of criticism (like the Black Panther), and like to think the modifications are my own, not borrowed.

ZXOP9 and Rogacs, thank you for your comment.

Christian, good job with the horse, maybe the neck could be tilted up a bit?

Anyway, made another Hoofy Horse, this time with smaller hooves to be more realistic:

Hey!

While reading Ròman Diaz's Blog, i found Daniel Naranjo's "Caballo"(Horse) and also his blog.

Just thought that horse would be an enrichment for this thread :)
I don't know if it is diagrammed anywhere...

The Clydesdale is immaculate!
Takes me back to county fairs as a boy, when these horses would tower over me as they worked in ploughing competitions.
You've somehow imbued the model with exactly the nobility and stature that I remember.
Thank you, this model has made my day, and is a great start to my origami year.

Hi Kevin
Thank you for the compliments. I was actually thinking about you when I was folding this - hoping that you would like it. I'm glad you do!
Have a great 2009!
Greetings
Quentin
