Was a great opportunity to put some faces to the screen names and learn some new tricks.

It would have been easier to respond right away if the wifi had worked in the hospitality room...grrr.

My 3G was just too slow.....

Yeah, I had the same issues. Seems like nobody could get the wifi working, and the 3G was rendered useless with the tall buildings...oh well :( Next year!

Before going to OUSA I had thought that meeting people I wanted to meet or had exchanged emails with would be easy. Once I was there (I'm talking about 2007 or so) I realised it is not easy at all. There are a lot of people and you can't go looking at everyone's badges to see if they are the person you are looking for.

So next time I'm going I'll make previous arrangements to meet some people I still haven't met in person.

Easier to connect with the folks you want at CenterFold!

Yeah, I know, another shameless plug. I'll stop one of these days, I promise.

CenterFold is one quarter the size of the NY Convention. As such, it is far easier to connect with others. Perhaps I'll come up with a model that denizens of the board should display if they wish to be recognized.

That or the method that has worked in the past which is adding sticky smiling faces of specific colors to your badge.

fyi, sebastian's dragon is also diagrammed in the 2011 AEP available from origami-shop.com. if you have the fold, probably the 2011 AEP is the better buy.

also, ogami shop is open.

Indeed it is. Seems to be acting a little wonky on my phone, though...

not to resurrect a long dead thread, but i thought this might interest folks. Beth Johnson's sheep, which was one of my favorite new models from the convention is on the cover of this months Creased Magazine and has been diagrammed.

Yes indeed. There were a number of Creased issues available for inspection at CenterFold. I was quite impressed with the production.
