My Origami Show!

Hi everyone

I'm new to the forums and I was wondering If you guys could help me with some suggestions for my origami show on youtube.

Heres the link to the show as it is now: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=izpWna_8qcM

I've been running the show all by myself for the past 14 weeks. I've done 10 episodes which I think constitute a good beginners introduction to genuine origami. I'm planning to start a new 12 part series on the chinese zodiac soon.

My problem is that whilst my show works well as an instructional tool, I don't think it adds anything to the culture of origami, or spreads awareness or makes it more accessible. Thats what I want. Can you give me any ideas?

Also, could you give me any ideas for the show in general? I was thinking about having like a PO box where you could send things in, or having live challenges on the show or something.

I'm really excited by my show but I think it could be doing more to spread the word about origami!

Hello RobbyRobRob, welcome to the forum!

Since you're doing Chinese zodiac, you could always just go into a bit of chinese mythology about each animal, and then make a fold of it. For example, something for rabbit is the eastern legend of the Moon Rabbit.

Just my suggestion. ;P

It might not add much to the origami culture but man, your commentary is simply amazing, lol.

Either way what I think youtube is missing is a channel dedicated to designing origami, the only thing I saw so far on the matter were some videos uploaded by Tadashimori, you could try going that way and see where it brings you to if you're good at designing.

Well designing is a very difficult topic to teach. :)
