Thanks origami_8. I think you know I'm trying to look for true origami gift wrapping tecniques.

There's a model in each of those books that might be exactly that. The model must have this four characteristics. You might know them but I'm mentioning them here so others can read them as well:
  • the gift is wrapped using exclusively the paper, the gift itself and the folds.
  • the folding process must include the very gift.
  • the folding can easily be adapted to the particular dimensions of the gift.
  • when unwrapping the gift you end up with the paper unfolded as well, or at least in the most part.
In the case of your booklet, there's a model named Wrapper. Could you please tell me if it really is a gift wrapping technique?

I'd really appreciate it origami_8 :).

I'm so so sorry, but I was wrong. For some reason I was sure I had this booklet, but I don't.Turns out I confused it with BOS booklet 53 by John Morgan: Origami models folded from Silver Rectangles.

But I found the Hawaiian Style Origami book. The money wrap model inside, is just an envelope.

Thank you :D. There should also be another model named Laulau (wrapped package). Would you please check origami_8?

There's no such model in my copy of the book. Maybe there are different editions?

Edit:
Ah, I just checked, there are of course several books by Jodi Fukumoto who have very similar names but seem to have very different content. It is definitely too late for me, I should go to sleep.
