The monthy magazine PHYSICS WORLD had a double page on the science and uses of origami which I believe was partially written by Robert Lang. It was very interesting and perhaps could be made available to the origami community who don't read physics magazines!

This past summer (the June issue, maybe) Dr. Lang's work was also the subject of an article in Scientific American. I toyed with origami in elementary school (just traditional models), and never kept up with it until seeing that article, with a picture and CP of one of his great praying mantis models - pretty much instantly rekindling my interest in origami. I would never have guessed complex models that now seem everyday to me were possible... Just last week a friend walked into my dorm as I was finishing up an Icarus (Takashi's), and she was amazed you could do that with a square of paper.
