Nice videos, especially the one on Satoshi's Top 3 works. Pity I can't understand Japanese

Even the local Japanese folks are amazed at the works, let alone westerners. Sometimes I feel proud being able to fold complex models and amaze my friends

I recently folded Eric's rat and my friends were really amazed, although it wasn't extremely difficult to fold. You should be proud that you can fold

In did, i am....

Just to clarify something, the video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s1B9eAZge7k is not actually for Kamiya's diamond. It is by Anna (origami8) she did a great job at reverse engineering Kamiya's model from the picture of the finished model, but it turned out that the original model is made differently

Well... all you need to know is:
Kamiya-san spent 10 hours to make the Phoenix.
He also used 1361 folds (I guess this includes the pre-creases).
The rest of the stuff mentioned are just comical jibes and "oohs and ahhhs"

It is strange, becasue he took only six hours to fold the ancient dragon.
I guess all the precreasing in the phoenix is where all the time went.
great videos

I was kinda hoping the video would show how he shaped the wings of the phoenix. Instead, the bulk just showed the collapsing of the CP into its base.
Nevertheless, those videos were very nice and to some extent helpful.
