Can anyone familiar with Elefantenhaut tell me what color paper this model is?

http://www.flickr.com/photos/gio_origam ... 5/sizes/l/

I finally found an online store that sells elephant hide and will ship from London to North America but shipping is very expensive. They list two different white papers, one being "high white". I didn't know if that meant that regular white is actually off-white or if high-white is just shiny and reflective.

My guess is that the paper pictured is ivory/creme but you never know?

If anyone has lots of different colors and could take a picture of them all together that would be really helpful too. I want to make sure I get the right stuff since it would cost too much to place a second order.

In my opinion the most important thing is the kind of paper, more than the really same colour.
I see the horse not white, but in a cream, very light brown colour, but it could belongs to very different reasons. For example the colour of the light when the photo has been take, the not correct white balance of the camera or the PC monitor, and so on.

You could never find the exact same colour (apart if you see the original model for real, but even in this case I'm not completely sure about).

So choose the white gradient you like most and fold with it.
The result will surely satisfies you

Thank you! That definitely helped me order my paper.

Amazing job on the horse model as well. Did you wet fold it?

I have folded it dry with other paper with decent results but am hoping the Elephant Hide will be even better.

Did you fold the rear legs as is shown in the diagrams or is that your own take on it? I have had trouble figuring that part out. Have any tips?

If anyone wants to buy paper it can be found here:

Just search for Elephant Hide

FedEx shipping to the United States is a bit hard to swallow at around $60 but they seem to be the only game in town as far as online sales go.

:D

It's dry folded. I just wet-shaped the legs.
For the rear legs, I think I just followed the diagrams.
