Hi all, this is my own archaeopteryx design. It is not in its final version yet, because I'm still not satisfied of the tail, and I hope to solve soon... I hope to improve the head too.

I like the wings and the legs, though the legs could perhaps be a bit thinner.
I'm looking forward to seeing it with the improved tail.

I like it so far! Other than what has already been suggested, I would try to make a longer nose, unless the angle the head picture was taken at makes it look short. In that case, no complaints! The legs would probably turn out better if it was folded from double tissue or foil, but you probably already knew that.

You are right, legs should be thinner, but when a design is not completed yet, I prefer not wasting tissue foil, and using normal paper. In it's final version, legs will be twice thinner.

Nice design StefOmega...it's looking good, the wings are nice and the legs and feet should look good too. As every one else has said, the tail could do with some improvement and I think you should also focus on the head.

ps. Is it made from a single square?

Yes, one single uncut square paper.

I like it! Looks kind of like scavengers from a PC game Gothic, only they didn't have any wings.

Scavengers had wings, they just didn't extend them in the game.
They were like ugly chickens.

Yeah, I know they did. But this is my favorite monster in the game! :D
Wait. You have played Gothic? Really? :o

I have finally finished designing the model. Here some pictures:

Compared with the first pics, there are more feathers in the wings, and the tail is longer, and so also more simple to fold. I am satisfied of the head too, now (but the solution, for it, was a lighter paper - in fact, I haven't changed the design of the head).

in all honesty, even the first version of the model is quite good.

Nice improvements StefOmega!

I have folded your velociraptor from some nice paper...but I just need to finish it with curves and stuff.

Will you be making CP or diagrams of the archaeopteryx soon?

I think to make partial CP soon, but for total CP... I'm too busy, now. Maybe in the future.

EDIT: Partial CP can be found at the following address:
