which size and kind of paper for joisels' cat?

i'm quite sure that there are a lot of people with experiences in folding this lovely cat. i've tried it, too, but without success. once the paper was too small the other time just too thick, so what do you recommend?

I have folded this model from 20cm square of tissue foil and it turned out ok...although the back legs were a bit thick.

I expect it would be fine if you folded it from mc double-tissue.

i took the more large and heavy paper - about 70 cm one side with about 130 g - but am still not satidfied with my crumplings. it's just as monsieur joisel wrote in his suggestions for the better model ... but it's not so that i don't like cats, may be it's the lack of opportunities to observe them?
i'm going to take a picture to give an impression of what kind of problems i have to deal with.
