Boxpleated Bowman

For a while I was trying to figure out how to design a person holding a bow (the kind you shoot arrows out of) in one of his hands. I have been unsuccessful creating an arm with 1 medium-long length flap coming out of each side of the arm that can be shaped into a bow, along with the rest of the body in 1 sheet of paper using pure boxpleating (I have no idea how to fold/create any other type of CP). I was not trying anything fancy, but i was never able to meet those criteria, and was wondering just out of curiosity at this point if it can be done, and if it can how. I hope this topic is not illegal in any way, and if someone shows me a solution I would NOT use it, at this point I just want to see if it can be done and how, I gave up on the model a while ago. I know Hojyo Takashi's Gheistkampfer (spelling?) model has a bow, but I do not have access to the CP, which is the part I am mostly interested in (if that model is even purely boxpleated).

The simplest answer would be to have a long flap for the arm that splits into two segments. With a swivel fold at the junction of the two points, it'll look like the arm is holding the bow. The only CP I know of that is an excellent reference for this is the archer from Wolf's blog : http://spinflipper.com/blog/?cat=3&paged=3.

This is really a very nice blog - I'd wish Wolf would keep on writing

Study jason Ku's Elf http://scripts.mit.edu/~jasonku/index.p ... model=elf1 and you might get some ideas (hint: the bow is the graft on the right hand side of the CP).

Thanks so much for the responses, I once had something similar to how Wolf did the arm, but I was unable to create legs like that, so seeing that CP sheds a lot of light on what I was doing incorrectly. I have never seen that blog before and I agree with gachepapier, it looks like it has tons of information.

Also, with Jason Ku's model, I assume the area on the right that looks like a long sink is what a graft is, but I have no idea how that would make a bow like that, from what I can tell it would make a very short and fat bow, but that is not the case with the final model. I am terrible with regular CPs haha.

Apart from the two already mentioned models I've also seen Nicolas Terry's Winged Warrior shaped into a man holding all kinds of things (f.e. tennis racket) using the additional paper from the wings.

I think Wolf is taking a well-deserved break from origami; she did a lot of the organizing work for 5OSME.
