Are Satoshi Kamiya and other origamists in Japan ok?
This is horrible i wonder if origami house or tanteidan etc were washed away please give info any updates
I just read a list of 'the 100 things to do before you die'. I'm pretty surprised 'yell for help' wasn't one of them...
Yes, I contacted Mr Yamaguchi and they are all ok.

Origami House is in Tokyo, which is far enough from the epicenter that I doubt magazine service would be disrupted by more than a few days.BrooksHalten wrote:Tanteidan, and ALL of them? I really hope so, it would be horrible if anything happened to them.
I hope my magazines weren't lost in the disaster. I hope that doesn't sound mean. I'm sorry if it is.

This is really horrible. I wish not only for them to be ok, but I hope that others are doing fine too

Google has a page with realtime updates on the crisis and a very easy link to donate to various humanitarian aid organizations. I strongly encourage you all to donate - it literally took about 20 seconds of my time. The origami community is so small that we all know someone in Japan right now, either personally or through their art, and I know we all want to help them as much as possible.
