Folding for a Wedding

I'm getting married this summer and am looking for suggestions for items I might fold for the event... we are trying to represent our interests through the theme, which will be centered around classic books, typewriters, and writing. I'd like to contribute something of origami in the form of decorations, favors, or even something practical... not necessarily related to that theme, but something in the spirit of matrimony at least. Ideas?

Hi,

first of all let me congratulate you ;)

Ok and for the origami, you can fold Origami Groom and Bride by Jo Nakashima. He has video on YouTube

Some ideas here:

You could make some of the origami books from this website and put classic titles on them:

Or you could make 1400 roses like some crazy people

congratulations!

since the wedding theme is books and writing, what about folding an origami book by David Brill? I think they'd make great mementos, particularly if every guest had one to write their wishes for the couple in. they could be collected in a pretty jar at the end of the reception.

kunihiko kasahara also has a book diagrammed in a few places, i believe.

another "love" themed piece of origami is david derudas' "duo cigne."

You could try Joseph Wu's bride and groom models, "Do Yourself A Favour".
