I have two little fairies made of origamido dark wine. I'm curious as to what many of you would think to make some semi elaborate scene for them. It's a gift for a friend.
The fairies are 3.5 inches, and have been mc'd. I've tried using my double, even triple tissue, but I have not got the same colour, or the same quality, as the origamido. Well, some are very nice... but not
as nice.
Anyway, much help would be appreciated. Some ideas of what would make a nice scene, or to accompany them as a compliment. I don't want them just put on a stand together, it would seem strange.

If you can find a shadow box that it's deep enough to accomodate the fairies, you can create a scene inside it.
You can add a background, either painted or just a decorative paper, and also some decorative origami elements, like tiny flowers or stars.
The shadow box will also preserve your models from dust.
Hope this helps!

That's under stood, my only consern is what would look nice with them

I've got some ideas, but I'm not sure what would maximize their visual appeal.

Er... not to sound ungrateful, but I was thinking more specific than general.
Like colours, species, etc.

I think it'd be easier to say if you posted a picture of your fairies so far.

personally....i would only include 1 fairy...two of the same color can be offputting to the eye.....then contrast the redwine with shades of blue or yellow maybe....or...go for color similarities and fold a few cherry red kawasaki roses...something to break up the monotany of solid color.....good luck!

might want to think about a mobile for for display of flying items. perhaps with some small LaFosse butterflies in black and yellow. Might nicely tie the whole concept together if the person receiving it would appreciate that he made the paper and designed the butterflies. Might also want to consider designing a butterfly of your own. Might not be as nice, but would be more personal.
