Spanish (Moorish?) Origami

In Engel's Origami: Angelfish to Zen he notes that "traditional spanish models are the legacy of the Moors' experiments with the geometry of folding" and then illustrates some traditional Spanish models including the Praying Moor and six models by Unamuno: eagle, teapot, gorilla, table, bear, vulture.

What are the best references for the origami that originated in Spain? Has anyone attempted to document the traditional spanish models (beyond the figures shown in Engel's book)? What books on Spanish origami would provide the best insights into that tradition?

If you are looking for information about the history of origami, I would start by looking in the BOS site. There are a lot of great articles written by David Lister.
