Combining Origami and Paper Art

Perhaps I'll be thrown off the forum if I openly admit I'm not an origami purist? :-)

I'll stick my neck out anyway!

I'm wondering if anyone on the forum enjoys combining origami models and other forms of art involving paper -- cutting (e.g., scherenschnitte), drawing, pop-ups, quilling, embossing, pin pricking (Pergamano), and etc. If so, what artists have you seen do innovative works along these lines? Anything to share that you've done or have ideas about doing?

Thanks!

Pamela

I agree there is much innovation in papercraft as well, on the Internet. However, I have not seen origami as an integral part of these works on these websites. What I am seeking is artists who have incorporated bonafide origami with other paper arts to create unique comprehensive works in paper ... origami PLUS other techniques in paper. Maybe this clarifies a little?
