Then use larger foil.
I have foil that is 75cm x 5 metres.

Buy larger foil, the "heavy duty" sized (but by a cheap brand not a name brand like Reynold's). Also you can just lay multiple sheets of foil by each other slightly overlapping and when you adhere the tissue paper to the foil it will make the sheets as one. I've done this before. Well I've done it with spray adhesive, not any kind of wallpaper paste such as is shown in Adams video (my results with glue were terrible compared to spray adhesive).PhillipORigami wrote:I know, but how do you make sheets longer than the width of the foil? Because approx. 10 inches is not enough to make more complex models.

I prefer tissue foil made with white glue by far over tissue foil made with spray adhesive. As for aluminium foil, I got a roll of 45cm width some time ago from someone who bought it at a wholesale market and I read in a chemistry catalogue that you can order some with 60cm width, never heard of aluminium foil with 75cm width before. In the shops here where I live you only get 30cm wide aluminium foil. Where do you get the 75cm one?
....and why is using 20cm paper an excuse for a bad fold?
I've done this model from 20cm paper before:

Anna when I tried white glue I ended up with the tissue paper taking on a very brittle quality to it. When I see what you, Chris, Sara etc have done with white glue looks much better and doesn't suggest the kind of nasty, brittle like paper that I had. I wonder if this is about the difference between the type of glue you find in Europe vs the US?
Any Americans use white glue for their tissue foil?

@Anna: It was also that the paper didn't hold too well. Sorry i didn't mention that.
