ODT3 Round 1: gab vs. akugami

All right, Round 1!
Topic proposals:
1. Arthropods - insects, arachnids, crustaceans and friends.
2. Human flight, in whatever form.
3. Folds from an equilateral triangle.
One square (1,2) or triangle (3), no cuts. Glue/MC for finishing okay.

o.k., it's no longer necessary to answer my question, 'cause i've already finished my model. i call it "ascension - a good soul on its last flight". i hope it'll suit your topic, gab - if not, you've won the first duel already. i won't have enough time for a second try.

Definitely fits the topic, I left it general on purpose. Sorry for not responding earlier.
For my entry I have two variations of a fighter jet:

Poll goes up tomorrow. EDIT: No it doesn't. I extended the deadline to Dec. 31 since there were a lot of no-shows. If you feel like submitting a second entry (not to say that you need to), you have until then. I might have something else in the works.

shortloldude seems to be a prophet - still the time's not over, but i don't think, the rest of it will change the result. so take my congratulations, gab, for winning this first duel and good luck for the next one(s).
