Create a flying monkey (like the ones in "return to Oz").

Rules:

You have two weeks (end date is thursday 7th July)

You must use a square or other regular polygon as the starting sheet of paper

No painting or other decoration beyond the colour of the original sheet

I'll make up the rest as I go :o)

Maybe this flying monkey should better enter the monster challenge than this topic?

too late dude! time's up. read the rules.

I was sorely disappointed in how many people claimed never to have seen the film, classic though it was. and the only person who entered (in time) hadnt seen it either... although she made an effort... which is more than anyone else.

<sulk>

Oh come now, this is an international forum after all, so you can't really assume that everyone comes from the same cultural/age/linguistic/whatever background. Ever seen Raumschiff Orion? It's a classic series too - if you come from the right region of the world!

And no, I haven't seen Return to Oz either. I must be too young or something. :D But I'll post a flying monkey sometime later anyway. Maybe. After I get the d20 challenge out of the way. Can't have Joseph hogging all the glory now, can we... :P

every time, I'm talking with somebody that also know this series, I always get the same reaction: "the iron flat... the iron flat"... :lol: :lol: it always makes me laugh :)

although, I'm not a fan of those old movies, I even got a DVD of "the wizard of oz" (of course the '39er version, and not one of the new ones). in fact "return to oz" is only a bad serial to the movie of 1939. it was done in 1985 and lost lots of the charme. I'm pretty sure, that the flying monkeys appeared in the Judy Garland movie too.
I'm sorely disappointed, that you didn't know that, Hermantrude ;)
