just a question, are leaves and plants allowed or is it strictly flowers?

well, you can incorporate leaves and stems into your model, in which case I will accept more than one piece of paper i.e. one piece for flower, 1+ piece(s) for stem + leaves.

Its made from a pentagon

One last question. Is a crease patter needed or is the photo of the folded model enough?

Beautiful, @anonymous person.
I want to make this for Rememberance day this year. Feel like sending me brief description of the design? ;D Just kidding. You can if you want. Otherwise I'll try to make it how it looks.

Ok, try to figure out from these brief instructions. use a black/red square.
1. Crease a 5 by 5 grid + book fold and crease diagonally both ways
2 Black side up, fold a pinwheel base using the outer 1/5 creases
3 Squash each of the flaps
4 Blintz and unfold
5 Open sink on the creases from step 4
6 You should now have 4 small black squares as a result of step 5. Fold each of these into a preliminary fold. Here's how I recommend doing this -
Book fold each little square in half both ways by taking the raw edge to the folded edge. You will need to make squash folds to enable these to flat fold, keep those squash folds in place. Then crease the diagonal of the square, and then make the preliminary folds.
7. Turn over
8 There should be some creases dividing the diagonal creases at the back of the model (the side we're now looking at) into thirds. Fold and unfold to these creases and repeat on the other corners.
9. Fold and unfold, joining where the creases from step 8 intersect with the diagonal.
10 Fold and unfold the corners to the creases from step 8.
11. Open sink the corners on the crease from step 10.
12. Spread open the sink fold using the crease from step 8.
13. Make a sort of reverse fold/valley fold on the crease from step 9. Since this is kinda hard to describe, I'll leave it to you to figure out.
14 Finished!! YAY!
