Really struggling with the head - the red/blues don't seem to help. Also not too sure on how to bring out the purple (or secondary color) belly and tail. Any tips are appreciated, thanks in advance.

Being somewhat color-deficient, I can't help you with the head. But the belly seems to be formed with what's called an inside-out middle flap.
There's a relatively short middle flap on the back of the base. Open the base partway and push the flap between the raw edged on the front. Some creases will have to be fudged a little, I'm guessing, but then you'll have to outside-reverse-fold the flap upward.
