OK, I can make an ordinary Ishibashi ball with 6 modules but there seems to be a way to make one with more modules by adding a crease somewhere (so I have read on the internet), anybody knows where that crease might be??

like this? It looks like it follows the same structure as Sonobe unit polyhedra. The Ishibashi ball units are essentially just fancy Sonobe units, so if you mountain-fold them in half, they should work similarly.

I Think you wanted to show a photo but that doesn't show. But Thanx for the tip on folding them in half, I will try that. It's indeed a Sonobe unit, Why didn't I think of that myself? Arrrg, fuzzy brain.
