Hey guys! I'm new as of NOW lol I jus want to know if theres any suggestions for beginners I folded Origami before but not like these crazy ones, but I hope I'll be able to do some of those some day lol XP so ye tell me wat you think I should start off with.

Another great way of finding diagrams is just searching for "origami" followed by whatever the object is that you wish to fold.

but as cupcake said, origami.com is excellent, it is where I first began to discover the true depth of origami

thanks! o ye i don't know if theres a thread already but its a quick question.. is there any specific kind of paper that is best for folding origami.. i had these origami papers but i don't know if they will do... so ye hope you guys can help me answer that question.. and THANKS for the feed backs.. i wish i can fold crazy origamis soon.. XD

Yea, there's plenty of threads that discuss different folding materials, like the sticky at the top of the general forums. Anyway, what I do is:
1) When it's my first attempt, I use japanese foil or kami.
2) If that's no good, then I bump up the size of my paper till it works.
3) Once I get proficient at folding a particular model I make some tissue foil, which works great for complex models, even at relatively small paper sizes.
But again, do a search first, and get other people's opinions.

I usually fold my first models with copy paper since its abundant and inexpensive, but can be a real pain to fold subjects like insects
