Hello everybody,

I just wanted to introduce myself. I feel that you should always do this when joining a new forum. Internet decorum and all.

My user name is obviously pathfinder but you can also just call me Joe. I am 39, male, married, 2 children ages 4 yrs and 7 months. I am an architect designing/building residential. I used to fold paper/origami when I was a kid. I had broken my leg and I was in the hospital for 5 weeks and my mother bought me an origami book with about 10 patterns in it. I learned them all but they are very simple ones. After the hosptial I kinda just gave it up but lately I have been drawn back into it. My 4 year old thinks its great that I can make a dog or camel out of a square piece of paper. So I figured I'd check things out again.

So then I saw some of the animals people are creating and was in awe. Not the same origami I had been used to. When I saw the Rhino, I think by Wu I was floored. So I am setting that as my goal.

Welcome to the forum, pathfinder.
If you really want to fold Joe Wu's Rhino, it's probably best to try David Brill's instead. They look pretty much the same, and Dave's Rhino has diagrams, while Joe's doesn't (As far as I can recall, it is a CP)

Very nice folds. Are they your designs, or someone elses?

Thanks for the positive comment cupcake. I know they are just beginner stuff. I really need some paper and lots of practice. I stole the cat off the internet. I hope that is allowed. I don't know who's it is. It is actually the most difficult piece I've done. Lots of folds and small ones especially with the 24# lazer paper I used. The dog is a two sheet German shepherd from the book my mother got for me about 25 years ago. The ears got bent up by my son. Now its starting to look more like a lama or something. There are some changes to the folds that turn it into a fox. Once I get some paper I will give it another shot.

The rhino by Wu really is nice. I know he doesn't have the diagram for it so thanks for the tip on David Brills. I'll look for the diagram. But I really don't think I am at any level near enough to even attempt it yet. Should start out small and work upwards.

Don't worry. You didn't really steal them, you just found them on the internet. As long as there are from a site like origami.com or maybe somebody's personal website, it's fine.
