Where to start?

Post by Noober »

Hi, im new to origami. So far i learned how to make a crane and dragon from youtube, but now i tried googling diagrams and i dont understand any of them, they all talk about mountain, vally, squash, and petal folds and stuff and i dont know what the hell they are. So what is a good free resource for me to learn the basics of origami?

The Origami-club.com suggestion is excellent for beginners, as well as http://www.origami-video.net or YouTube.
Check your local library for an interesting book to check out, nearly all have basic instructions.
Google for origami valley fold and origami mountain fold.
A great book to buy would be Origami by Hideaki Sakata. http://www.amazon.com/Origami-Hideaki-S ... ref=sr_1_1?
Just obtain any paper, make a square of it, and you're on your way !
It's a terrific journey ....
May I wish success to all who cope with the mountains & valleys of Life,
with all its peaks & depths, as well as Origami .
