Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself.
I'm 25 and I've been casually interested in Origami since I was a child and I was given a book of models and instructions. I make things from patterns fairly often these days but I find it hard to commit many of them to memory, even the ones that I have done lots of in the past. Last year I made all my Christmas Tree decorations out of Origami, threading some with string and hanging others on wire and hooks and my partners mother would like me to do some for her this year so I guess I will be a little Origami factory between how and then as their trees are usually huge!
Some of the models I've already seen on the site just browsing are amazing! I didn't realise until pretty recently how many complex and wonderful models there are out there and I hope to give some of them a go in the future.

I always encourage buying as many books as possible. You can check out Gilad Aharoni's site for ideas. http://www.giladorigami.com/Books_default.html
By the way. Folding several editions of one model is a great way to improve upon it, and memorization will come with practice .

I think maybe I have some issue remembering Origami patterns as after a little while even things I've folded 50+ of I can't seem to remember. It isn't the end of the world as long as I have the pattern to hand
Do you have any recommendations for intermediate books? I generally like doing animals and flowers most.
