Hi everyone ^_^

My name (well, my internet name) is doctorbeans. I started folding and really getting into origami last March of this year (09). I am really into origami boxes, so the first book I bought is Fabulous origami boxes by Tomoko Fuse. Right now I am really interested in tessellations. I learn mostly from youtube videos and diagrams, and I haven't done origami from CPs yet (but I will learn!). I learned about the forum from Ms. Sara Adams (I think she mentioned or posted a link to it from her website).

I have posted most of my works in my official blog (http://www.almightybeanster.com) ... They aren't my own designs of course :) It's not mainly an origami blog either.. ^_^ Hope you all stop by sometimes :)

Anyway, I hope I get to know all of you :) I have never been to an origami convention either.. One day I hope, I will :)

Hey there!

May I also add that doctorbeans wrote a beautiful origami poem?
doctorbeans wrote: I was born in the woods, raised to be a tree
But my mother said, "Darling, that's not all you're meant to be.
You can be strong like Brother wood, bringing shelter to man.
You can be like your father, a strong oak, yes you can."

"Paper is what I'll be." I responded with pride.
I choose to be the medium that brings happiness, far and wide.
Poems and stories I will tell, joyful news I would bring.
I may even have songs that young divas will sing.

And by choosing to be paper, there's more to become
A crane, an iris, a treasure box for some.
I will not stay plain, I know I can be more.
With grand tesselations, there's more to explore.
Each fold tells a story, like a lesson well-learned
Each crease, a preparation, for a reward you will earn.
There's more to life than being flat and plain
I'll have the courage to try new things, for in trying we gain.

Like paper, my dear child, you can grow up to be
a doctor, a fireman, and artist, you'll see.
There's no need to rush, you would not want to rip.
Art and life is delicate, but go on, take the trip.
