Reintroduction - Rebecca T.

Hi there everyone, my name is Rebecca and I'm 29; I joined this forum wayyy back, and have been long-dormant. Since recently moving back to my "old love" home in Seattle, I am enjoying a prolific Origami Renaissance.
I've been folding for about 10 years, first learned on my own from the book "Origami for the Enthusiast" (which was insanity); nowadays I teach my friends and co-workers how to fold things and make things from paper.

I am *really* into origami tessellations although I really don't know how to do them beyond the beginner level. I primarily create and design modular pieces. I don't have a website but I do take pictures of all of my creations (they usually end up on facebook).

It's so great to be back!

Welcome back! If you are interested in tessellations, a good book (if you don't have it) would be Eric Gjerde's book on tessellations. It is, to my knowledge, the only book published about origami tessellations and he did a great job.

Welcome back! One of my first books was also Origami for the Enthusiast. That was back before I decided to just buy the books that I wanted

. I think that I must have renewed it from the library about a trillion times

I wholeheartedly agree that Eric's book is a great one, and basically the only book on tessellations out there (although Shuzo Fujimoto has hints of tessellations in his books). It's definitely the book that really got me started on tessellations. I'd wanted to do tessellations before, but was a bit scared to really try out the harder looking stuff.
