I'd love to get my hands on some Ogami - it has a fantastic palette of colours. Does anyone know if they take PayPal? I couldn't see any indication one way or the other on their web site and they haven't (yet) responded to my email.

I ordered the booklet today. It seems like a really good paper as I can tell from what you guys have said about it and the models which have been folded from it. So I check out the colors and the 'feel' of the paper with that booklet. If it convinces me I'll definitely go for more even though its quite expensive.

It's a bit expensive...but it's a great paper for a really nice result. Also, it's around the same price per square inch as origamido, FYI.

as a warning to those thinking of getting ogami, which is indeed a fine product, do think about what projects you want to buy your paper for. super thin may not always be the best choice, and your project may benefit from the "body" you get from the medium thickness paper.

in fluorescent lighting, the paper really comes to life, very eye-catching. remember you don't always have to get super-thin. you should really reserve that for models that need it, as it's actually so thin it's a little hard to work with (flops around quite a bit, it can be hard to see the creases in darker colored papers). some complex stuff, like the turtle will be fine with the medium thickness paper and will get the added "body."
