Tanteidan Convention 18

Post by phillipcurl »

I'm looking forward to seeing which diagram Kamiya puts in it, because he has had a diagram of at least one model in 15 of the 17 convention books so far...I'm hoping for his Japanese Tree Frog, Ryujin 2.1, horse, LSD, or otolonicus.

I think that Andrey Ermakov is going to submit his Gargoyle version 4, but he said that he's not sure if it will be in Tanteidan 18...but all of his models are great, so any diagrams i would except of his. Same for Shuki Kato, but he is working on that book and all, so i don't know if he will save the diagrams he is making for that book.

I'm hoping Robert Lang will put one of the diagrams for his complex beetles into it, but cannot be sure.

so, what do you guys think or hope will be in this book?

Horse diagram is in JOAS special edition 2009, Gargoyle v4 is made by Andrey Ermakov, not Artur Biernacki,
probably in OTCB 18 there will be Japanese tree frog

That's a great model, Ryan. Assuming that the diagrams match the quality of the model, I don't see why it wouldn't be in there, but on the off-chance that it doesn't make it, are you planning on releasing the diagrams elsewhere?

Mirek: They usually do not answer. You know whether your model made it or not as soon as the index of the book will be published. But they are very reliable in sending you the book when you provided them your postal address along with the model.

Last year they sent me a reply thanking me for submitting the Hummingbird

This year I first submitted my frog and did not get a reply
Then I designed, diagrammed and sent my Magpie. Still no reply.

I really hope the latter will be included. The diagrams should be fine. It has over 100 steps and 7 pages and uses a 7x7 grid.

I submitted my Southern Stingray yesterday. This morning, I got a reply saying "We got the diagrams. Thank you for your contribution." I'll try to post a picture of the stingray on here if anyone would like to see the model.

My guess is that if they haven't replied to you ever, they aren't going to reply to you now. It is very hard to contact JOAS (barely ever answer). If they don't reply, chances are they did see your diagram.

Merman: Nice Magpie!
