so friendly tip: if you don't have much time (like 3-4 hours a week for RZ only), don't even start. You'll never finish it ;p

uhh. I just managed to collapse the base. it is VERY time consuming model, and I haven't started shaping scales yet! I won't finish it before christmas

I'm in the middle of folding a ryujin 2.1 from 38cm paper, I think it will be the worlds smallest ryujin, a quarter of the size of my first one. I'll post progress pics on my flickr.

Great Scott, that'll be a challenge. Good luck.

Hi! It's been a long while since I've been active on here. I deleted my Dropbox years ago, so some things, like my Dragonfly Varileg guide, are lost to time. I may still have other things, though! Email me if you have any questions.

That turned out great! Especially the head. You gonna make another sometime?
Well, here's my latest.

Re: Satoshi Kamiya - Ryu Zin (CP)
I was wondering why dont you guys do the 3.5 version, instead of the 2.1?

Re: Satoshi Kamiya - Ryu Zin (CP)
I could probably make five 2.1s in the amount of time it takes to make one 3.5. All my 2.1s and 64s are made from different paper until I find the one I want to use for the 3.5. I'm working on getting better at using MC (which none of my Ryujins have used, so far.) I've never done a neck twist (but I just got World of Super Complex so I'll give it a try soon.)
Basically I don't want to start a 50-hour model until I'm completely confident that it won't be a disaster. Also I drew out step-by-step sketches for 2.1 and 64 (which I can't share) and I'm always touching them up each time I make one.

Re: Satoshi Kamiya - Ryu Zin (CP)
from my point of view (base collapsed, started shaping scales, have knowledge how to fold whole model) 3.5 is much harder - bigger sheet (scales) is harder to fold, legs become a huge problem, whole shaping gets more complicated. 2.1 can give a nice result if shaped properly and isn't so hard to do (and so time consuming).e-mo wrote:I was wondering why dont you guys do the 3.5 version, instead of the 2.1?

Re: Satoshi Kamiya - Ryu Zin (CP)
Is there any way you can send that video to me?
I'm currently trying to make a Ryu Zin 3.5, though I'm sure I'd help if I saw you fold the 2.1 version.
Thanks so much!

Whose video are you asking for? If it's my live broadcast you mean, I didn't save the videos. But I may next time.
