I have to agree with Djorigami, precreasing is simply precreasingorigami deadspace wrote:could anyone help me precreas the bottom half?

Folder from Hønefoss, Norway. Pretty advanced, but I'm not that good at designing :P

Re: Satoshi Kamiya - Ryu Zin (CP)
I don't have right to tell you not to watch those videos but they are wrong(not right way of doing things)matthewclso wrote:Malifold on youtube has a tutorial. All you have to do is divide a grid, fold diagonals and then fold pleats. Pull out a layer on one of them so it has 2 flaps. Pull the flaps gently and some of the paper on the other side will get out and make the scale round. Watch Malifold's video and you'll get it, but he only does it on a single scale so if you want to do a whole grid for practice do what I told you. Remember, Malifold is the one.
You dont have to pre crease scales at all you can do them after folding "basic base"(base without collapsed scales ) Its quite simple... In order to fold whole 2,1 you just have to fold grid and than make few diagonal lines not the whole CP...I might make a tutorial of collapsing and pre creasing bottom half...
Re: Satoshi Kamiya - Ryu Zin (CP)
My video was simply a way to get shaped scales a la 3.5 WITHOUT SINKING OR PRECREASING, since I had seen a lot of crease- filled 'ugly' shaped scales. My video demonstrates how to easily SHAPE scales, not fold or precrease them. I agree that many other videos are incorrect.
On the bottom of my 2.1, I just did the scales without precreasing, so they're slightly irregular, but look OK.
Just do what DJ said.

I'm sorry about that but im getting tierd of people asking same questions over and over again, because they are to lazy to search for answers! Re: Satoshi Kamiya - Ryu Zin (CP)
I've read through the entire thread, and can't seem to find a clear cp of the Ryujin 2.1 Head-Body transitions, (only the 3.5) or a clear cp of the head( again, 2.1) . If anybody can post these, it would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Satoshi Kamiya - Ryu Zin (CP)
I made a video of the entire collapsing/shaping process of my latest 2.1! It took 8 hours over 4 sessions, but has been sped up 32x so it's only a 15 minute video. This is NOT an instructional video, just for fun, basically. And I found some nice music to go with it in one of my own piano recordings.

Re: Satoshi Kamiya - Ryu Zin (CP)
130*130cm square of rice paper waiting to be folded xD

Re: Satoshi Kamiya - Ryu Zin (CP)
I need help with head shaping
I collapsed it and got this (omitting the far side)

How do I turn those flaps into mouth and teeth? I feel like there is an extra wasted flap or two in there...
