Re: Who would you like to see have a book published?
I, at least, am not saying that amateur means simple or intermediate designers...but Kamiya, Lang and Chan-like models are at one end of the complexity spectrum and there are surely plenty of amateur designers creating simple(r), elegant models. I couldn't fold those complex models even if I wanted to
Re: Who would you like to see have a book published?
If you want books with a variety of models from different folders, just get yourself some convention books. Everyone can send models for those publications and you will find some real treasures in there.

Exactly! But in convention books, some diagrams are good , some are quite bad, Nothing would be better than if it is a uniform style of diagramming.

Convention books need to be more like licence to fold or fifty hours of origami( different artists but consistent diagrams). Once again, it seems like Nicolas Terry is the best publisher of origami books.
Also, a book from Ronald Koh would be pretty cool.

Indeed. I love convention books and buy them when I can (and can afford them--they can become rather expensive once the stock has been sold out)! Diagramming quality can be an issue, of course. But I wonder if both of these "problems" don't have a solution given the availability of free tools for diagramming and easy means of electronic publishing. Maybe more co-op style publications or something...

Re: Who would you like to see have a book published?
Hi guys
My next books might be in the wishes of some of you.
One of the next book will contains mainly models from intermediate designers of the new generation. Diagrams are drawing by halle in his specific style that you can discover on the last 4esquinas http://www.origami-shop.com/images/Imag ... quinas.pdf. A great part of the book is already done but I.m looking for some killer models more.
I'm also currently working on a new Vog book with amazing models as usual with Vog members
I'm also in project with Nicolas Gajardo, Ngyen Cuong, Red paper and Ronald Koh for stand alone books but books will be published following how authors could be available (Each book need some years to draw so don't expect these books before some years (if they will be published)
I'm also in contact with other authors but I can't say more for now.
Many projects but only a few final publication because I don't want to publish too much books to maintain the best quality book.
But i'm always open mind for other projects and wishes from you.
Nicolas

I would like to see a book by Nguyen Hung Cuong. It should also include his scorpio-snake.

I must agree, utterly breathtaking, though I suspect those are one-off models that could not be readily duplicated.Fluffy wrote:I would like to see a book from Soma Cruz (you can find him on flickr). His work is the most unique thing out there.
The author I most want to see published is me of course. They're reprinting my first book, just published my second and I have a third on the computer. Just awaiting photographs and it's time to go.
