Andrey Ermakov's Deer Head?

Post by NavesinkVulcan »

Hello everyone. I'm usually into geometric/ modular origami (biggest model I've done was a 1,110 unit double interconnected 3 color torus), but after seeing Ermakov's work, I ordered his book. I would like to eventually work my way up to his deer head. Does anyone have any tips or advice? I got 20 by 20 inch sheets of lokta in preparation for the deer head. I also have 12 inch square sheets of foil based paper. Are these materials adequate for Ermakov's models, or do I need to get different materials? Thanks.

Phillip Curl has a pretty dang-on good attempt at that deer head from lokta!
