Re: Monthly Folding Challenge: July 2013
For this challenge I didn't want to create animals, cars or trains but something a bit faster: and so I decided to design one of the fastest things in the universe: the LIGHT. Well, this is the result: a color changed star on a blue sky.

Re: Monthly Folding Challenge: July 2013
Haha, I was thinking of designing a star too Jokes aside, very creative and original model. It's nice to see a lot of entries this month!
Jeko: Nice train as well. Just out of curiosity is it from a square?
Spiritofcat: Ok, thanks! I don't have chrome though so I'm not sure if that makes a difference...

Re: Monthly Folding Challenge: July 2013
Thanks! Sorry I should have mentioned that.Langko wrote:Jeko: Nice train as well. Just out of curiosity is it from a square?
The rules for this month asked for square(s) only. Hence, my model is made from 2 squares (same size). The rail is one square (axis along the diagonal to get the maximum length, so quite a bit of paper is wasted) and the actual train is from a different square (not too much paper wasted there to get an ok length for the end coach). The train can actually slide along the rail kind of like the original . For a full length train and a longer rail rectangles would obviously be more suitable...

Perhaps a bit obscure, this is the Feisar antigravity ship from the Wipeout series of racing games. I had fun with this one; It's pretty much just a half-bird base with wet-folded details.
