Copyright infringement...?

Post by ahudson »

I keep getting ads for this website (http://www.artfulorigami.com/) and so I looked at it; it claimed to offer hundreds of diagrams and several e-books. It's obviously a scam to collect information, but I have to wonder: is any of that violating copyright? Has anybody checked it out to make sure? It's possible even diagrams that some of you have made are in there...

Just to clarify, I'm not asking someone to sign up for it, I'm just wondering if anybody has already. I suppose it's possible that this is a legitimate website, but I wouldn't count on it.

It's just a bunch of crap from online. The 990 page ebook is just everything from origami.com in one .pdf, the origami theory and fun "books" are just pages from the BOS website I believe. Similarly the dollar ebook is just the instructions from that one dollar site (which in my opinion sucks), crandall or something.

(Note: I didn't sign up, but have seen files with those names, and that's all they were.)
