What model do you want to come up in SK's new book?

Hah, that's an impossible question to answer. I would love to see an Ancient Dragon 2, I also think Ryu-Jin is awesome and the Phoenix 3.5 is also one of the best models ever created.

However, if I'd really have to choose, I'd pick Ryu-Jin, I suppose.

There all great but i suppose it would be ryuzin 3.5 and as Jonnycakes said the Phoenix CP's already on his site.

There's no other models that I would want to see in his new book other than Phoenix 3.5 and Ryuzin 3.5.

I do not particularly like folding Kamiya's Phoenixes, and as ingenius as it is, the Ryu-zin is still box-pleating, which is just not fun.

Rather, I'd be more interested in his more recent work. When I first saw the diagrams for his Asian Elephant, I thought it to have one of the most perfect folding sequences I had ever seen. Then his diagrammed Sleipnir. The Cocker Spaniel is awesome, etc.

I'd also like to see his crane, angelfish, that thing he made for the Plant Challenge, hermit crab, some dinosaurs, etc.

Those are the kinds of things I'd like to see in "his new book", and I also see them as being quite reasonable.

Obviously I voted something else.

What's the relationship between the Ancient Dragon we know in Works of Satoshi Kamiya and the Ancient Dragon type-2 on his website?

Comparing the crease patterns from the site and from my Works of Satoshi Kamiya, the crease pattern of the Ancient Dragon we know from the book is more complex and refined.

Ancient Dragon 2 has the long horn on the snout, and just two long horns, as opposed to eight shorter ones. Also, it has longer, thinner wings. The Ancient Dragon in the book is modified from the original CP from Tanteidan magazine #55, whose body was very similar to that of Ancient Dragon 2. (purely box-pleated)

More complex does not mean more refined, though. They are variations on the same concept for a model, but they are still different.

I voted something else.
All of those other models are pretty old. You see and hear about em everyday and I kind of lose interest in them. Just like how some good songs are overplayed on the radio I guess, haha.
Pretty much everything he designs is amazing so I would love to see some totally fresh models.

Well, it is both complex and refined. 1.1 came after type-2, and it (and the CP) looks like it is the final revised model.

I'd love to see the Phoenix. But alas...I've grown a bit tired of it.
God knows how many attempts I've made at both 3.0 and 3.5. I've gotten most of it right...(i think)...except maybe for the wings which still turn out sloppy.

Also, the Phoenix has been pretty much beaten to death in this forum.

Instead, I'd like to see something new and unpublished.

As for the phoenix, maybe he could have a small appendix showing how to fold the finishing touches.
