Kamiya's American Cocker Spaniel

Post by Misty »

He everyone!!

I'm trying to fold my first 'difficult' model and I'm having problems in step 6!! :( I really can't find how I could get my model to look like the figure in number 7!! There's only one arrow pointing upwards and it's not enought explanation for me... I really don't understand it. Has someone folded that model?? I'd like to fold that model very much because my dog is an American Cocker Spaniel!!

Dear Misty, when asking for help you should always try to give as much information as possible. One very important point is where to find the diagrams you are working with, in this case Tanteidan Magazin 91. This is not only important to help people find the diagrams faster but in some cases for the same model are different sets of diagrams available, leading to confusion if the one person refers to one set and the other person to another set.

So, what you have to do at this step is free the hidden layer, just pull it out. If that doesn't work here's the brutal force method: Take the top lower right flap on the point where the arrowhead is in step 3. Pull sharply without ripping the paper, some paper on the top part that was hidden inside should become free. Take this free layer and fold it upwards as far as it will go.

Thank you so much for your help, Origami_8! You're right, I should have said that the diagram is from Tanteidan Magazine 91! I apologize. I don't have the diagrams with me right now, but when I have them, I'll start the model from the beginning and try what you said. I think Kamiya is too much for me! I started with origami nearly 2 years ago, but I've kind of had an on and off relationship with it, so we could say I'm still a rookie!

Thanks for your help!
