Post by takwing »

Hi everybody,

I am from HK. Below is my origami site:

http://www.takwing.idv.hk/origami/index.html

Other than collecting some masterpiece photo, there are also CPs that I have drawn.

The link works fine for me. Are the masterpiece galleries others' designs? It would be nice to see the designer and folder of each model.

The link doesn't work in Firefox, you have to change your Browser Engine to make it work.

I would rather thank the person who wrote the extension, I don't think that god was of much help with writing it.

of course god did. he gave the programer the life, the intelligence, the inspiration and the talent to write the source code. not to mention the fingers to type, the computer to use and the internet to share.
god is mighty and he gave everything to us. Image... even origami...

If he exists, but that's another topic and shouldn't be discussed here...

Maybe you have another version of Firefox?
My version is 2.0.0.16 (German) and on the second PC of my partner 3.0.1 (English) and it didn't work with both versions until we used IE-Tab.

These are other people's design & fold.
I agree that it would be nice to see the designer and folder. Unfortunately, I don't think I can get the info for all the photo that I have.

That would indeed be hard with that many models to track down. A reasonable compromise might be to add in that information with all new models added to the site

And I am running 2.0.0.16 English Firefox (does language really make a difference?).

As stupid as it may sound, yes it does. I can't access some websites with the German version such as the American version of Google Books. Half a year or so I also couldn't access Sasugabooks with the German browser but the page worked well with the English version (lately the website also works with the German browser).

Interestingly enough it doesn't matter what browser you are using, but rather what the server "thinks" you are using. When making the server pretend (using the neat User Agent Switcher) that I'm using Internet Explorer/Opera/Netscape/Blubb/... I have no troubles accessing the page.
But when the server "knows" I'm using Firefox I get a 404.

So maybe this server doesn't like people from Europe to access their pages using Firefox
So long and keep folding ^_^

I'm using Firefox and it works fine. Well...sort of. It takes FOREVER to load, almost as if time has stopped. Very freaky sensation. Internet Explorer works slightly better, in the sense that one of my fingernails is slightly longer than it was yesterday.
I've fallen down, and I can't get up.
