Where, When, and How do you usually fold?
Just curious, but i was wondering if you guys have a favorite place to fold? practice? A favorite time? and do you usually fold with music, tv playing, in silence?
I usually fold in coffee shops, although usually i have my earphones on to have my own music (sometimes the music in coffee shops can get annoying). but thats usually for my practice models. I wet fold usually at home, but i usually need music or something playing in the background. Or i start the model in a coffee shop then i finish it with the final touches at home.
I sometimes fold with the tv on, but it can get distracting. how bout you guys?

I ALWAYS fold with the TV on. If I don't, I'll go nuts.
I've fallen down, and I can't get up.

When I do origami just as pastime, I fold quite everywhere. I always have with me some origami paper. I've even folded during a walk, but also in some more usual places (train, plane, beach, lunch time, doctor waiting room, and so on)
On the other hand, when I'm tring to create something new, my favourite place and time are the kitchen table after dinner.
If I am alone it is better. I find quite annoing to have to answer the recurring question "what are you doing?" just when I'm tring to solve some very complex creases.
Definitively the night is my most creative moment.

I used to fold everywhere. I need to start doing that again; making time for it. I tend to fold with music, especially if I need to do a really tedious pre-creasing. I recently bought a nice drafting table to fold at, so it isn't so hard on my neck. I often fold in class it it gets boring, or between classes at university.

Hah just yesterday (its 3:50AM here, agh...) my biology teacher was lecturing us about the different ways that proteins fold, and put up a slide on how to fold the 'hungry bat', making a connection to origami. She asked if anyone did origami and of course, I was the only one to raise a hand.
Anyay, to answer flooplate's question, I fold if I have free time, which isn't often anymore, but always with music on. I like to have my mind focused on something else at the same time, hah.

I usually fold on the floor with Classical guitar music playing in the background when I am at home.
Once I was folding a Kawasaki Rose while walking when I bumped into this college kid and he really lost his balance and toppled over. It was embarrassing for both. Since then I fold in public only when I am seated on the bus or train!

I remember once I folded a flower tower while on my bicycle, on the way home from school... in retrospective, it was an awful idea; but it worked at the time. (yeah, I know, Jeremy Shafer folds on a Unicycle. Well, he doesn't have to deal with traffic!)
I also designed and folded an octopus entirely in the dark; it was about 11:00 and my parents had just told me to go to bed. Unfortunately I couldn't sleep, so I found a piece of paper somehow and started folding. It was dark enough that I had to fold by feel.
My usual places to fold these days are on the bus (I have a 90-minute commute, three days a week) and at home on my desk. I have a tendency to hyperfocus, so I don't need tv or music; in fact, they're often distracting. Not always though.
