Origami Animation

Post by Wizmatt »

I found this while browsing on Hideo Komatsu's site:

http://origami.gr.jp/~komatsu/etc/lab/anime01.gif

I think its really cool, I was wondering if there was any other origami animation out there.

P.S Does anyone know how to fold the humanoid crane thing?

It is not possible to link to files on your hard drive. You have to upload pictures somewhere like for example imageshack or flickr.

Edit: Very cool model.

Beating Heart

Post by Piotzintli »

I only found an origami beating heart. It seems simple, but easy to do

Here are a few animations of completed models:

The Last Waltz: http://home.roadrunner.com/~hanksimon/o ... waltz.html

Collected Wedding Gift Folds:
http://home.roadrunner.com/~hanksimon/o ... ing07.html
works best on Medium

BTW, if you can do a little programming, it is very easy to modify (and fix) the JavaScript that I used for these "clay" mation animations to adapt to your own models.

Note: if you are looking for How-to-fold animations, then both Sara Adams and Michael Lafosse have some excellent collections online.

Some really nice animations have been posted, and I hadn't known all of them. So thanks for the references.
